英国问答

BYO 自带酒水

Wine on a shelf
BYO is becoming more popular in the recession

I've found, in my country, that people often bring some drinks on their own when eating in a restaurant. So is it acceptable in a western restaurant for customers to bring some drinks like wine?

Tao Shu

In China, it's acceptable for customers to bring their own drinks to a restaurant. It means diners have more choice about what they drink and it can also save them money.

People like going to restaurants in the UK too, but what do they think about bringing your own drinks? Is it a common practice? And how acceptable is it to the restaurant?

Helen and Li investigate by asking the public.
