　　Kinki University is a comprehensive general education institution. Research is carried out in 11 graduate schools. The university itself has 46 departments within 11 schools. Study is also conducted at 19 institutes, a teaching hospital, and a junior college that are run by the university. Pre-university teaching is carried out at attached schools that provide education from nursery school through to a technical high school level.
