　　Saitama University is located in the quiet suburban area of Saitama City , the capital of Saitama Prefecture with population of more than a million and only about 30 km to the north of central Tokyo.

　　The university, as a "Global Access University, has about 500 international students from about 40 countries all over the world and out of total about 9,000 student body, is actively engaging in both international education and research collaboration.
