2009年中国国际教育展将于10月17日在北京拉开帷幕，随后巡回武汉、上海、成都和广州5个城市，以下为日本国此次参展院校东北大学简介：

　　Tohoku University was founded in 1907 as the third Imperial University of Japan and from its start, the “Open-Door” policy, “Research First” principle, and “Practice-Oriented Research and Education” have been the three main pillars of Tohoku University. The three educational pillars still remain strong at Tohoku University and its atmospheres have helped to produce a large number of notable research achievements and outstanding scholars, including Mr. Koichi Tanaka, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2002.

　　The University was quick to open its door to international students and graduated two international students as early as 1911. The University is widely known as an institution providing extensive opportunities to international students and currently more than 1200 international students are enrolled at Tohoku University and the number is growing every year.

　　The University is comprised of 10 undergraduate faculties, 14 graduate schools, Graduate School of Educational Informatics/Education Division, 5 research institutes, 13 research centers, and a hospital.
