“2010年东方国际海外名校教育展信息说明会”于2010年10月16日-23日在北京、西安、上海相继举办。来自美国、加拿大、英国、澳大利亚、法国、德国、意大利、荷兰、新西兰等国家数十所世界顶级大学及研究机构代表与会。以下为本次展会现场报道：

　　德意志学术交流中心简称DAAD, 最早成立于1925年，代表德国231所高校和128个大学生团体， 是目前全球最大的教育交流机构之一。 DAAD的经费由德国政府提供，是德国文化和高等教育政策的对外执行机构。

　　作为德国高等院校的联合组织，德意志学术交流中心的主要任务是扶持德国和其他国家大学生、科学家的交换项目以及国际科研项目，并以此来促进德国大学同国外大学的联系。它拥有一个广泛的由德语讲师、分支机构以及前奖学金生组成的网络。目前已有大约68,000名大学生和科学家接受过DAAD的资助，将近500名大学教授被派往世界各地授课。 目前，德意志学术交流中心在世界范围内设立了14个办事处，为当地提供信息和咨询，其中北京代表处成立于1994年。它主要是资助中德两国的学生和学者的交流项目，为中国有意留学德国的人提供信息并促进中国高校和德国高校之间的交流与合作。

　　The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is the largest funding organisation in the world supporting the international exchange of students and scholars. Since it was founded in 1925, more than 1.5 million scholars in Germany and abroad have received DAAD funding. It is a registered association and its members are German institutions of higher education and student bodies. Its activities go far beyond simply awarding grants and scholarships. The DAAD supports the internationalisation of German universities, promotes German studies and the German language abroad, assists developing countries in establishing effective universities and advises decision makers on matters of cultural, education and development policy。

　　The DAAD runs over 250 programmes, through which it funds more than 67,000 German and foreign scholars worldwide per annum. These programmes range from semesters abroad for undergraduates to doctoral programmes, from internships to visiting lectureships, and from information-gathering visits to assisting with the establishment of new universities abroad。
