　　问题一：Why did the university decide to make a pilot on accepting the Chinese university entrance exam results for student enrollment？ Does this mean the university has begun to acknowledge the value of China‘s exam-centered education system and the quality of Chinese high school graduates？

　　贵校为什么决定作为试点，接受中国大学入学考试成绩作为录取标准？这是否意味着贵校已经开始承认中国的应试教育体系的价值，以及中国高中毕业生的素质？

　　Adelphi believes in creating a welcoming environment for all of its students and truly wants to see a diverse group of students on its campuses。 We believe that by accepting the Gaokao， we will be able to reach some of the most talented students china has to offer and make themapart of our wonderful Adelphi community。 We recognize that while many students in China make the choice to study abroad for their university education early on， most students in China focus on the Gaokao。 We see this group of Gaokao students as full of potential and can bring their unique experiences to Adelphi。 We know that to succeed in China’s exam focused education system requires intelligence， hard work， and persistence。 We greatly admire these qualities in our students and we believe that these qualities will continue to help them succeed in the American system。

　　问题二：Do you have scholarships specific to students whose performance in Gaokao are equal to or above the threshold for the first， second or third batch of local universities to encourage Chinese students to apply？ Could you please detail them？

　　贵校针对高考成绩达到或超过中国一本、二本或三本招生门槛的学生是否有特定的奖学金制度，从而鼓励中国学生申请入学？您可以详细说明一下吗？

　　艾德菲大学招生官Stephanie Espina回答：

　　As part of our commitment to attracting top talent from China， we are offering generous scholarships for top performing gaokao students。 For students with third tier scores， we offer a $5，000 scholarship。 For those students who achieve second tier scores， we offer a $10，000 scholarship， and for those students who manage to achieve a top-tier score， we will give a $15，000 scholarship！ There are other ways students can receive scholarships to Adelphi， and when a student applies， they will be considered and may be invited to interview for these additional scholarships。

　　问题三：Would you please tell us several things about ADU that are most attractive to Chinese students？ What are your best-known majors？

　　Adelphi attracts students from all over the world for a variety of reasons。 Many Chinese students are attracted by Adelphi’s top 147 ranking and the school’s proximity to New York City。 Adelphi has two campuses， one in downtown Manhattan for certain MBA programs， and the main campus in Garden City， Long Island。 For students who are interested in Business， our location is incredible。 We are just half an hour from downtown Manhattan， so students can travel to the city as often as they would like for networking， internship， or interview opportunities。 At the same time， our students get to experience all of the benefits of attending a small private university。 Our students have ample access to their professors， individualized support services， and a close-knit supportive community to help them achieve success。

　　Our most popular majors for Chinese students are our business majors， like finance， marketing， accounting， and economics， just to name a few， - our computer science major， and our psychology major。 Many students who are interested in engineering are also interested in our dual degree programs with Columbia University School of Engineering。
