A friend forever

　　"Follow me" set off a surge of learning english in the eighties and, at the same time, a name-katherine fl ower -became familiar to the chinese people.

　　In august, the eightn international book exhibition opened in beijing. Flower came to beijing this time for the promotion of an english program on behalf of her co mpany. She has been concerned with the development and changes of beijing for a number of years.

　　Flower has been looking forward to doing something for the chinese people. She came to china by chance, an d became the first foreign host of an english-language program. From then on, her life changed dramatically.

　　With the success of "Follow Me", flower became a ho usehold name in china, and became a household name in c hina, and became a television personality in her own ri ght. But everyone meets with some twusts and turns, and it was the same for flower. At the time she was achievi ng great success in her career, she also encountered pe rsonal tragedy while in china.
