"What if " moments for Nicolas Cage II

　　Then, on Christmas Day, Manhattan Jack wakes up to find himself Suburban Jack, married to old girlfriend K ate, played by Tea Leoni, with two kids and working at a tyre factory.

　　He is no longer the big player and the highlight of his week now is dinner at Burger King, followed by a ni ght out at the bowling alley.

　　What if ?

　　In true Hollywood tradition, he hates it at first t hen learns to love his new life and Kate.

　　Nicolas admits he has had a "what if " moment himse lf—just before the movie was made a year and a half ago .

　　He said: "I went back to my home town in Long Beach , California and did an interview for Esquire. They wan ted to see my reaction when I went to see my old house and being in the neighbourhood. I grew up in a very sub urbanstyle home, not unlike the house in the movie."

　　"I remember thinking to myself that if I hadn't rea lly forced myself to kind of make it in the movie indus try and come to Los Angeles and Hollywood, things proba bly would have been so much less complicated. So I thin k I had a 'what if ' period there. "

　　The 36-year old actor, currently one of the highest -paid actors in Hollywood's super-league, even knows wh at he'd have been—a sailor.
