Her story of time I

　　The city keeps changing everyday. We long for chang es, but at the same time we are in dread of change. We are afraid of a boring life. So we begin to search, loo king for a kind of feeling belonging to our true selves . Zhang Qiuying has been searching too. She has found s uch a way that goes hand in hand with her life through her gallery, centering as it does, around her gallery.

　　Zhang qiuying: I like the art, and I can just look through many exhibitions, and many of the customers are very different, I think I can improve myself from them.

　　After she graduated from the English Department of Shaanxi Normal University in 1992,Qiuying became an interpreter for the Beijing Concert Hall gallery. She was fascinated with the work of painting. In 1996, Qiuying started to run her own gallery, which she named the Qin Gallery.

　　A gallery is a medium between the artists and their art works on the one side, and the clients on the other . The communication is subtle. Qiuying has her own idea s about how to run a gallery.

　　Zhang qiuying: The first, I think you must have goo d taste and good eye for the pictures. Then you must ma ke friends with the artists, and also you (should) give the customer vain price. So I think that's very importa nt for the gallery.

　　Qiuying has made painstaking efforts to run her gal lery well. She will always have all sorts of feelings w ell up in her mind when thinking of this experience.

　　Zhang qiuying: We collect some artists' works, but one time, an artist's works are just accepted by a Susb e Auction. They want to have an auction for his work. T he artist tried his best to take his pictures away. He said it nothing for the gallery.

　　Qiuying has tried her best to set up a bridge betwe en the artists and her clients. The Qin Gallery is not only in the business of selling paintings, but also col lecting of paintings. When Qiuying loses her heart to s ome of the works, she will keep them for collection. So metimes she also buys paintings to help those artists w ho are in financial need.
