无论是大学英语四六级的作文，还是考研[微博]英语的作文，无非由三段组成：起始段、中间段和结尾段。其中，中间段是全文的主体段落，承担着阐述具体观点和看法的任务。所以，能否写好主体段落直接关乎一个作文写得好不好，能不能得高分。

　　在写中间段落时，需要一些承转句，那承转句都有哪些呢？

　　1. in view of the practical need of society, …

　　鉴于社会的实际需要，……

　　【例子】In view of the practical need of society, there are more and more people interested in learning English。

　　【译文】鉴于社会的实际需要，愈来愈多的人对学英语有兴趣。

　　2. in other words, …= to put it differently

　　换言之，……

　　【例子】In other words, I will try my best to attain my goal。

　　【译文】换言之，我会尽最大的努力达成我的目标。

　　3. As a matter of fact, …= In fact, …

　　事实上，……

　　【例子】As a matter of fact, it is health that counts。

　　【译文】事实上，健康才是最重要。

　　4. … for this reason, …

　　基于这个理由，

　　【例子】For this reason, I have decided to take teaching as my future career。

　　【译文】基于这个理由，我已决定把教书作为未来的职业。

　　5. Besides (In addition)， we should not neglect …

　　此外，我们不应忽视…

　　【例子】In addition, we should not neglect that everyone wants a friendly and peaceful society。

　　【译文】此外，我们不应忽视每个人都想要一个温馨祥和的社会。

　　6. That is to say, …= That is, …= Namely, …

　　那就是(说)……;亦即……

　　【例子】We need to live a regular life. That is, we can keep good hours and refrain from smoking

　　and drinking in the daily activities。

　　【译文】我们生活需有规律。也就是说，早睡早起，戒除烟酒。

　　7. What is more serious is (that).。.

　　更严重的是，……

　　【例子】What is more serious is that we do not cherish the wildlife。

　　【译文】更严重的是，我们不珍惜野生动物。

　　8. on the other hand, …

　　另一方面，……

　　【例子】The government should enforce laws strictly. On the other hand, the public also should

　　develop the good habit of reducing pollution。

　　【译文】政府应严格执法，另一方面，大众也应该培养减少污染的好习惯。

　　9. In this light, if…, there can surely be no doubt (that) .。.

　　这样说来，假如...，当然毫无疑问地…。

　　【例子】In this light, if we can make good use of time, there can surely be no doubt that we will

　　get somewhere。

　　【译文】这样说来，假如我们能善用时间，当然毫无疑问地我们会成功。

　　【例子】For example, we elevate the living standards blindly, but lower the quality of life。

　　【译文】例如，我们盲目地提高生活水准，却降低生活品质。
