Have you ever found yourself frustrated at your inability to understand or learn something? If so, then you are not alone. In his book“Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligences,”Howard Gardner introduces some interesting new ideas about the human mind.
Gardner believes that every person is a blend of“intelligences”talents that should be recognized and cultivated. Gardner organizes these intelligencessintosseven categories, which are explained and identified in depth in his book.
Those with“verbal intelligence,”for example, are likely to be eloquent speakers, who think in words rather than in pictures. They are skilled at writing, storytelling, and remembering information. People with this intelligence may enjoy careers as writers, teachers, or lawyers.
Gardner believes that each one of us is unique and talented. Perhaps discovering your own intelligences can help you uncover your inner genius.
