Bond. The name brings to mind images of 007 and, for some, his drop-dead gorgeous "bond girls." But we are not talking about the world's favorite spy, though the "drop-dead gorgeous" part does comesintosplay. This "bond" is a classical string quartet made up of very sexy women.
Now while "sexy" and "classical string quartet" are not usually uttered in the same breath, the women of bond have made their name by combining the two concepts. Not only is the Anglo-Australian band making the headlines with their blend of classical and modern dance music, they are grabbing the public's attention with their skimpy tops and tight pants.
But the bond girls are certainly not the first to make classical music sexy. That ground was broken by Vanessa-Mae, a violinist of Thai-Chinese descent. Vanessa-Mae created a new style of music by combining classical instrumentals and contemporary pop; however, her stunning looks and barely-there costumes are also an important part of her act.
