A New Theory on Human Evolution
If I were to finish this section without mentioning the "Anunaki" story, I would be leaving out the best part and wouldn't serve Mr. Borman's story telling prowess justice. This story is his most famous and definitely most interesting one.
He waited weeks until we got to the evolution section of the year to tell this baby and it was worth it for sure. Using two whole days of class time, Mr. Borman told this entire story as detailed as possible, grabbing all of our attentions like he was picking cherries off a tree.
Let me give you a little background information on this before I retell the story. This is one theory on how humans came to being. Like the creation story and Darwin's evolution theory, they are just stories. So please don't take offense if you believe otherwise, I am not saying I believe it or Mr. Borman believes it. I am only saying that this is another very interesting theory as to how human evolution could have taken place. I will retell this story in my own words. Remember, all of this came from Mr. Borman. He took two full days to tell this one story. It is definitely very interesting…
Mr. Borman started his speech with this one line, "What is the one thing that humans value that makes no sense at all?"
All the students in the class looked at one another with absolutely no idea.
Mr. Borman continued with a glint in his eyes, "Every country, every civilization in every age valued this thing, sometimes more than life itself. Have you thought of it yet? Well, if you said,‘Love' or‘Power' your thinking too deeply. I am talking about material things. Gold! Since the times of the Ancient Egyptians and Chinese, gold has been a staple of wealth. Why? What use does it have? Gold is not the strongest metal, nor is it the most durable or lightest. It's also not the most rare of metal. Anyone would rather have a piece of gold in his or her hands than a hunk of rare platinum. Why is this? There is no real use for gold, yet humans all seem to have some sort of common need for this stuff. It is almost human nature. Think about it. How many times did the Ancient Chinese and Egyptians communicate with one another? Yet, they both knew gold was valuable! Who told them it was valuable? Also, when the Incan people lived in South America, who told them that Gold was valuable? No one! There is something within our very natures that loves gold. If you were to go out and buy a ring, 99% of them would contain gold or be made to look like gold. Once again, I ask why? Well, our unexplained need and love for gold is the root of the Anunaki theory."
As most of you who have studied human and primate evolution know, there have been dozens of human like organisms that have just appeared and disappeared. Scientists can't trace the exact route of humans back to any one species of these creatures. Yet one stands out from all the rest. This creature is named, Cro-Magnon. Cro-Magnon man was the one most like modern humans. Their skeletal structure was shaped similarly. Their inner organs, breeding, and advanced civilizations all lead us to believe that they are our ancestors. Despite this, there is a huge gap in that theory (literally), the evolutionary chart is missing an entire portionswhereshundreds of thousands of years of evolution from Cro-Magnon to human should have taken place.swheresand what is that gap? Some people believe that it is the supposed Big Foot or the Yeti. But no traces of any of those animals have ever been found. Soswheresdid that section of the evolutionary pattern go? The answer? Nowhere. It never happened. Not long ago, scientists uncovered the remains of a city in the ancient civilization of Phoenicia. Phoenicia was before even Ancient Egypt. In the remains of this city they found a story written on tablets of stone. Of course this was in Phoenician and no one could decipher it's meaning. A team of language and encryption experts sat down and began to decode the ancient language. The story the tablets told was amazing.
The tablets spoke of a civilization of people called, "The Anunaki". The Anunaki people were not from our planet. In fact they came from another solar system to Earth. The Anunaki people were a very advanced people. Since they had the technology to travel through space we can guess that they had knowledge and abilities that we can only dream of.
The Anunaki had one big problem. Their planet was dying. How was it dying? What is one of the biggest environmental issues we face today? Global warming. The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has created holes in our atmosphere creating adverse affects in the weather and global warming. This was the exact problem that these Anunaki were having. Their planet's atmosphere had deteriorated to the point that their civilization was in danger. They had developed a way to repair the holes in the atmosphere. This way involved one key element that was vital to their survival. Gold. It is a scientific fact that melting gold flakes can actually patch the atmosphere. It creates a whole new layer on top of the worn down spots in the atmosphere, much like a patch on a ripped pair of pants or shirt. The problem was that the amount of gold on their planet was limited and if they didn't get enough of it, their civilization would die out. The Anunaki immediately sent crews out to search for the now "precious" metal.
The Anunaki people were very much like us humans. They were almost exactly like us except for one very important thing. According to the Phoenician tablets, they each had an average lifespan of around 40 million years old. This makes them just about immortal compared to our average of 80 years. Their planet resides on the edge of our solar system but orbits around a different star. The orbital pattern of their planet is very crucial. Once every 600,000 years they complete their orbit around their planet once, making 600,000 years for us equal to 1 year for them. Hence they have a 40 million year lifespan. Now I know it is a little hard to swallow for you skeptics out there, but just hear me out. At one point in their 600,000-year orbit, their planet was close enough to the orbit of Earth that it allowed them to send spacecraft to our planet. But this allotted time only came once every Anunaki year or 600,000 of our years. Around the time of the Cro-Magnon civilization a crew of Anunaki supposedly arrived on Earth. Their one objective was to find gold to restore their planet's atmosphere. When they landed on earth their mission was completed. When the Anunaki saw the abundance of gold on our planet, they encountered a problem. How were they going to mine this much gold and take it back to their planet all by themselves? Then they encountered the answer. The answer rested in the poor Cro-Magnons. The Cro-Magnons were littered all over the land. They decided that they would take the time to breed these lower level animals and then make them their own personal miners. Using their specialized genetic engineering they spent thousands of years breeding and engineering until they constructed the perfect worker, a lesser form of human. The genetic engineering process took thousands of years, but finally they re-engineered the DNA of the Cro-Magnons then even interbred themselves with the Cro-Magnons giving them much more human-like features and intelligence. Then they ordered the Cro-Magnons to do one thing. They not only ordered it but they imprinted itsintostheir naturesintostheir DNA so that future generations would do it also. Thissgroupsthat was imprinted within them was, to mine gold. The Anunaki would go back to their home planet and come back to earth the next time their orbit came close enough. They planned to bring with them equipment and means to transport the gold back to their own planet.
This story written by the Phoenicians on stone tablets solves two great mysteries. One is why humans value gold so much and two it also explains the gap between Cro-Magnon man and modern humans.
It is truly a very exciting story.
Mr. Borman finished his presentation with a very teasing speech, "If we want to prove whether these guys ever existed, we're going to have to wait another 500,000 years. When that day comes, if the Anunaki come back, then we'll have already started to use the gold to repair the holes in our own atmosphere. What are we going to tell them?"
For weeks after we heard the story, our entire class discussed with each other the possibility of something like this being true. Everyone's imagination was running rampant as we became "scientists" ourselves and tried to prove that the Anunaki theory made more sense than both creation and evolution. Some people pointed out that our view of deities and gods may only be circumstantial evidence that the Anunaki did land on Earth. Others found a good point in the historical story of the Spanish Conquistadors, who found immense wealth over here in the Americas. History tells us that the Native Americans such as the Incans in Peru handed over tons and tons of gold to the Spanish for no apparent reason. Perhaps the Incans thought that the Spanish were Anunaki coming back for gold? And so on…We all wanted to find more evidence to support this theory.
Others focused on the problems with our atmosphere, our genetic make up, and the space travel.
I believe, that Mr. Borman expected such a reaction from his students.
