Two sisters, aged 10 and seven years old, have vandalised a nursery school after breaking in and making off with colouring materials.
The girls, who have not been named, entered Tierray Sol kindergarten, near their homes in Portezuelo, Chile through an open window.
Detectives say the children spent three hours painting all the walls and furniture in the school with paint they found in the cupboards.
Two days after they came back "to have more fun", but this time they left the kindergarten carrying lots of pen, pencil, paper, paint and books.
Once on the streets the girls asked passers by to help with their heavy bags. The police was already in the kindergarten investigating two break and entries and linked the two incidents.
Headmaster Marionet Sepulveda, told La Cuarta newspaper on Jan. 21,“They did a lot of damage here. They messed everything using paint, liquid wax and colour pencils.”
The girls have been takensintoscustody and are being examined by a team of psychologists.
