Juventus, the Serie A title and a berth in the Champions League final already in its pocket, tumbled 1-2 at lowly Reggina on Saturday in the next-to-last round of the Italian soccer campaign.

With the Turin powerhouse starting several second-row players following a triumphant but exhausting week, Reggina pocketed three vital points for escaping relegation on goals by its strikers David Di Michele and Emiliano Bonazzoli.

La Juve, which clinched its 27th Serie A title last weekend and eliminated Spain's Real Madrid in the Champions League semifinals last Wednesday, got its only goal from Uruguayan Marcelo Zalayeta.

The fourth loss of the season left Juventus with 69 points, five ahead of Inter Milan, which stayed second with a 2-0 win at Modena.

AC Milan, which will play La Juve in an all-Italian Champions League final at Manchester on May 28, downed Bologna 3-1 at the San Siro to stay three points behind Inter.

Lazio's 3-1 win over Roberto Baggio's Brescia at Stadio Olimpico secured the Roman team at least fourth place in the table and a berth in the preliminary rounds of the Champions League next season.

Lazio has 60 points, one short of AC Milan.

Chievo was out of contention for a spot in the Champions League as it played to a goalless draw with AS Roma and slipped five points behind Lazio with a single round left.

Parma, two goals down after the first half, rallied to a 3-2 home victory over Piacenza which meant relegation for the losing side.

Romanian striker Adrian Mutu headed in the game winner for Parma in the closing minutes, keeping alive his team's hopes for a UEFA Cup berth.

Piacenza joined already relegated Como and Torino in the B-League with the fourth team going down to be decided in the last round on Saturday.

Reggina, Atalanta and Modena are all at risk. Empoli still could be tied at 38 points but has a better goal difference over the pursuing teams.

In other matches of Round 33 on Saturday, Atalanta rallied to a 2-1 victory over Como on two goals by Cristiano Doni; Udinese won 2-0 at Perugia; and Torino and Empoli played to a 1-1 draw.
