Suspended Juventus star Pavel Nedved won't be able to sit on the bench at the Champions League final against AC Milan and will have to rely on his club to get a medal, UEFA said.

　　The influential Czech midfielder was banned from the final after receiving his third yellow card of the competition in the second-leg semifinal against Real Madrid and left the field in tears. Asked if the Czech would receive a medal, UEFA chief executive Gerhard Aigner said it was up to the club. "There are 25 medals. If they reserve one for him, then he will get one," Aigner said. "But he cannot sit on the bench. I personally feel very strongly for this player," Aigner said. "But the only way to get around it is to not get a third yellow card in the semifinal."
