Javier Saviola scored in the 43rd minute to give Argentina a 1-0 win over South Korea in a soccer friendly yesterday. Saviola, rushing toward the goal, tipped in the ball, connecting a cross from Javier Zanetti. South Korean goalkeeper Lee Woonjae dived for the ball in vain. The South Koreans had several chances throughout the game, but were frustrated by the Argentineans' tight defense. The game was played in rainy weather at the Seoul's World Cup stadium. It was another frustrating loss for South Korea's Portuguese coach Humberto Coelho, who has only had one win since taking over the national team from Dutch coach Guus Hiddink. |
