　　IT is fascinating to see hundreds of fashionable women in evening gowns standing in the chilly night air for several hours waiting for a trendy hair styling show to begin. In this city, fashion events always draw excited crowds.

　　On this occasion, the starring role in the show was taken by Beijing Hair Culture, born in Hong Kong in 1988. The theme of the show was World Peace, symbolized by white feathers adorning the models' heads, the loose white gowns and the dozens of white doves released from their cages at the end of the show.

　　In the first part of the show, the audience was surprised by the strong dreadlocks look. The dreadlock styles that were carefully created on the heads of the models were worn up, tied or pinned high on the head, to create a dramatic, almost warrior-like, appearance.

　　In the second part, the hair styles were more natural, although they couldn't easily be applied to daily life. The stylists adopted an artistic approach, with an emphasis on cutting technique, exhibiting slick, simple, natural and bold qualities.

　　Hairstyle trends come in "waves", whether they arise from renowned salon shows or great designers. What matters is choosing a hairstyle that suits you and your hair type; a healthy-looking hairstyle is important for showing off a confident self!
