We love happiness, and we love healthiness, too. However, we love peace best.

　　"Peace", what a beautiful word! Generally, peace is welcomed, and war is not. War is always brutal(残忍的). We hate war. In a war, thousands and thousands of lives will be lost and a large amount of money wasted. It not only pollutes our environment but also separates sons from their parents, and friends from friends. Many people worry about their relatives and friends' health. It brings people untold misery and damage. Human beings try to achieve peace and prosperity(繁荣) through the establishment(建立) of families, and nations. Why should we let all these be destroyed by wars?

　　Though most people in the world are opposed(抵制) to war, they can by no means avoid it. This is indeed a regrettable thing. In April of this year, there was a US-led invasion(侵略) of Iraq. The people of Iraq had no food, no water and no homes. Some children couldn't go to school and some people were killed. They couldn't see the colourful world any more! This is not what Iraqis wanted. How tragic their fate is!

　　I can't forget one photo I saw of some soldiers with guns surrounding a little boy. The boy's clothes were very dirty and his hair was long. He was crying. How terrible! If war happens, how can human beings live on the earth? Human beings cannot enjoy lasting peace as long as war is unavoidable, but peace is the final goal of all of our undertaking(任务) in this world.

　　Human beings should be friends, not enemies. We should help and learn from each other, we should not attack each other! I am proud of being a Chinese. While the rest of the world pays lip service to peace, the Chinese are truly concerned about peace. The Chinese people have always loved freedom and peace. They have suffered greatly from wars and invasions in modern times, and they realize how precious(宝贵的) peace is. We need peace, we love peace! I hope that one day all people will live a quiet life in a world without war and violence(暴行) while doves of peace fly across the blue sky!
