　　The government of Thailand is sending more troops to the southern part of the country in an effort to stop the increasing violence there. Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra announced the deployment after nine people were killed including three Buddhist religious leaders. Mister Thaksin told reporters in Bangkok that the government will find the killers. He blamed the attacks on people hoping to start a conflict between Buddhists and Muslims. The government blames the attack on local thieves and Muslim separatists.
