Eighty-two school children were rushed to hospital on Monday after eating lunch at their canteen on campus in Yangjiang, Guangdong Province.

　　Authorities yesterday confirmed 52 children were poisoned by bacteria-tainted food. About 1pm on Monday, 82 students of the Qiangfa primary school for migrant children began to suffer vomiting and dizziness and were promptly sent to two local hospitals. At least 70 students are still in hospital. The canteen was shut down and an investigation has started.
