Premier Wen Jiabao will visit Kyrgyzstan and Russia, attending the third meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the ninth regular meeting between Chinese and Russian prime ministers, from September 21 to 25. Making the announcement in Beijing yesterday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan said that Wen will exchange ideas on bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues of common interest with leaders of the two countries. He will also discuss trade cooperation and SCO's development with other leaders from SCO member states who will attend the meeting. Meanwhile, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov said in Moscow on Monday that his country is willing to strengthen cultural cooperation with China. Fradkov made the remarks while meeting Chinese State Councilor Chen Zhili, who arrived at the weekend to co-chair the fifth session of the China-Russia Cooperation Committee on Education, Culture, Health and Sports with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov.
