Bill gets a letter from his father. "New York is a big city," Father says in his letter, "There are many, many big shops here, and you can get everything you want, for example: guitar, belt, glove, boots, and so on. Now tell me, Bill, what do you want? I'll buy it for you as a present for the New Year."

　　Bill is happy, but he can't think of anything he needs. "Do you want a pair of stockings?" asks his mother.

　　"No, I have already had two pairs of stockings. I have many socks, too."

　　"Then what about a flower vase?"

　　"No, I don't like flowers," says Bill, "And neither am I interested in planting flowers. I needn't any flower vase."

　　Bill has almost everything. It is difficult for him to think of something he doesn't have. So he writes to his father, "Please send me something special, something new that I can use all the year round."

　　A week later a parcel arrives. Bill is very excited. He opens the parcel quickly. What

　　does he find in it? A calendar(日历)!
