　　1991年10月到台湾打球，1992年3月，前往美国普林斯顿大学读书并担任该大学乒乓球队总教练，陈静前往普大担任乒乓球队总教练，并深造英文，1992年定居台湾，打完1996年奥运会，陈静开始在台北体育学院读硕士学位，2003年3月，成为华南师大心理学系的博士研究生，研究运动心理学。

　　陈静是奥运会史上第一个乒乓球女单冠军。

　　她有反手弹击的绝活。 借力反弹不仅动作经济、干净利落， 而且落点刁钻、节奏突然，保持了中国传统的以快制快的特点。
