　　Stopped training after the 1996 Olympics due to injuries and worked as a business partner with a bodybuilding equipment factory in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province for developing new bodybuilding equipment. Studied law at Liaoning University for a period of time before getting married in May 1997. Joined the national team for intensified training seven months later in preparation for the 1998 Asian Games. Entered the Colorado State University, USA in September 1998 for further studies.

　　Wang Junxia has been regarded as the best runner in China's sports history. Born of a peasant family, she is known for her tenacious spirit and inflexible will, which played a big part in the making of this great athlete in the 1990s.

　　1993年 在西班牙举行的世界杯马拉松赛中获个人和团体冠军

　　1993年 在北京举行的第7届全运会3000米比赛中取得冠军，并两次(预、决赛)打破3000米世界纪录(8分12秒11、8分06秒11)，并以29分31秒78的成绩打破女子10000米世界纪录，成为世界上第一位突破女子10000米跑“30分钟大关”的运动员，她在这两个项目上所创造的世界纪录一直保持至今

　　当前情况:

　　1996年奥运会后至1997年8月，因伤停止训练和比赛。1996年与江苏徐州一家健身器厂合作，联合开发健身器，并出任副厂长，曾就读于辽宁大学法律系。1997年5月结婚。1997年12月入选国家田径集训队，备战亚运会。1998年9月赴美国科罗拉多州大学学习。

　　王军霞无疑是我国历史上最出色的田径选手，生在农村的她由于家庭生活条件艰苦，她从小就养成了吃苦耐劳的优良品质，再加上科学训练，她终于成了中国的“东方神鹿”。
