英语新闻：莱辛给诺贝尔的《成长小说》

　　英国作家多丽丝·莱辛获得本届诺贝尔文学奖，文学奖颁了100多年，莱辛才算第11位获奖的女作家，可是观乎颁奖单位瑞典学院上面这段赞词，又极力靠拢女性主义(feminism)，难怪美国著名文学评论家Harold Bloom批评瑞典学院的选择是为了迎合时势所趋(即political correctness“政治正确”)。

　　不过，比较起来，如果前美国副总统戈尔拍电影可以拿和平奖、联合国做分内事也可以拿和平奖，莱辛(现在才)得文学奖也许不算离谱吧。

　　回头说引文的Bildungsroman，那原是德语，bildung即education，roman即novel。Bildungsroman(education novel)中文作“成长小说”，或者“启蒙小说”，那是德国文学中常见的小说类型(genre)，故事往往围绕主人公成长的历程，如歌德的Wilhelm Meister's Apprenticeship、勃朗特的Jane Eyre、高汀的Lord of the Flies等都是Bildungsroman 中的经典。
