比赛演讲稿 Embrace the Olympics Ladies and Gentlemen: As we know, in 1896, the first modern Olympic Games was held in Athens, Greece. Since then many countries have successfully held the Olympics because they persevere the spirit of the Olympics---faster, higher and stronger. To our surprise, the Games of 29th Olympics are awarded to the city of Beijing, China. They year of 2008 is getting closer and closer to us. To be a volunteer for Olympics, I must do something helpful to improve my spoken English, “Rome isn’t built in a day!” With the fluent English, I can be a tour guide, pointing roads for the foreign friends; I can be a translator, outwardly the country friend introduce Chinese long history culture; I can also be a staff member. All in all, I’m sure that Beijing Olympic Games will be one of the most successful Games in history! That’s all. Thank you! 拥抱奥运 女士们，先生们: 众所周知，1896年，第一届奥林匹克运动会在希腊雅典举行。从那时起，许多国家都成功地举办了奥林匹克运动会，因为他们坚持着“更快，更高，更强”的奥运精神。 令我们惊讶的是，中国北京有幸成为第29届奥运会的主办城市。 2008年离我们越来越近了，作为奥运会志愿者，我必须做一些有助于提高英语口语的事情。“罗马不是一天建成的！”拥有一口流利的英语，我就能成为一名导游，为外国朋友指路；我就能成为一名翻译，向外国朋友介绍中国悠久的历史文化；我还能做一名工作人员。 总之，我相信，2008北京奥运会将会是有史以来最出色的奥运会之一。 谢谢大家！
