　　比赛演讲稿

　　The Olympic game and me

　　The 2008 Olympic game is getting closer and closer to us. As a high school junior, what should I do? I’ll no doubt contribute mo part to greet this cheerful and anticipated event.

　　In 2008, some athletes will come to Changsha for a visit after finishing their competition. Because Changsha is the hometown of Mao Zedong who has been greatly admired and respected by the people throughout the world. Foreign friends want to man how he lived and worked in his early age in Changsha. At that time, I'll ask my classmates to follow my lead, working as volunteers, showing them the way and introducing my school and city to them.

　　From now on, I'll study even harder than before and try to improve my English a lot so as to be a qualified volunteer.

　　2008年奥运离我们越来越近。作为一名初中生，我应该做什么？无疑，我将尽自己的一份力量来迎接这个振奋人心、期待已久的盛会。

　　在2008年，一些运动员在完成他们的比赛后将会访问长沙。因为长沙是全世界人民所尊敬和爱戴的毛泽东的故乡，外国友人想要到长沙来更多地了解这位伟人早年的生活和工作情况。那时，我将召集我的同学们一起充当志愿者，为他们指路，同时还向他们介绍我们的学校和城市。

　　从现在开始，我将更加努力地学习，进一步提高英语水平，使自己成为一名合格的志愿者。
