    演讲稿：

　　Beijing, are you ready?

　　With the year of 2008 approaching, Beijing becomes a new focus of the world. But are we ready to welcome the 2008 Olympic Games?

　　During rush hours, it takes around half an hour from Qian Men to Wang FuJing by taxi. But you need only a third when it isn’t obstructed. Have you ever seen azure skies in Beijing? Seldom, right? Could you believe that there were only 8 “azure skies” on January? Could you foretell how many there will be in 2008? How will the gymnasiums be used after the Olympic Games?

　　In my opinion, we should limit the number of cars and plant more trees to purify the environment. And we may reconstruct the gyms as office blocks to raise the utilization ratio.

　　Approaching, the 2008 Olympic Games is approaching! To make it a splendid memory, I am willing to do everything I can do. I am sure Beijing will be ready to welcome the 2008 Olympic Games.

　　北京，你准备好了吗？

　　随着2008年的临近，北京已成为世界瞩目的新焦点。但是，我们真的做好迎接奥运会的准备了吗？

　　在高峰时间，乘车从前门到王府井大街需要约半个小时的时间。但是正常情况下交通畅通时，只需要三分之一的时间即可。在这里，你看到过湛蓝色的天空吗？很少，是吧？今年一月份里只出现了八个“蓝天”， 你能相信吗？而在2008年里我们又能看到几个“蓝天”你能预测吗？奥运会结束后，这许多新建的奥运场馆又会如何被利用？

　　我认为，我们应限制汽车数量，并植树造林以优化环境。我们还可以将一些体育场馆改建成办公楼，以提高赛后场馆的利用率。

　　快了，2008年奥运会快要来了！为了使它能为大家留下一段美好的回忆，我愿意尽我所能来帮助。我相信，北京将会为迎接2008年奥运会而做好准备!
