我家“那位”：情侣的另一半咋称呼(图)

　　和朋友聊家常的时候，大家都是怎么称呼自己的另一半呢？“爱人”太正式，“朋友”太隐晦，“那位”特生活，特自然，酸酸甜甜刚刚好。你知道“那位”用英语怎么说吗？

　　答案就是：other half。The other half of your relationship. Your other half is simply your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband or wife. 英语中可以把情侣中的一方，男朋友，女朋友，丈夫或妻子统称为 the other half 。

　　注意喽，“那位”尤其适用于老夫老妻或是有长期关系的情侣。你想啊，连名字、称谓都省略了，那两人的关系得多熟啊。You would be more likely to use this for a boyfriend or girlfriend you have been with for a long-time--so it would be someone you are in a long term relationship with.

　　另一点要注意的是，you usually use it to talk about your other half with someone else。Other half 一定是在和第三者谈话的场合使用。你和自己的“那位”谈话的时候可就别“那位，那位”的叫了。

　　用法实例：

　　1 A: So are you coming to Jess' party?

　　B: Yeah I'll be there. Can I bring my other half?

　　2 A: So are you going on holiday this year?

　　B: Yes, me and my other half are going to America to visit some friends for a couple of weeks.

　　3 A: Well I've got to go--my friend and her other half are staying and we're going out for a meal.

　　B: I've got to get back to my other half.

　　先说到这里。我去找我的“那位”my other half，你去找你的“那位”your other half吧。“那位”的说法是不是很实用？大家都找机会试用一下吧。
