　　 8月22日,多明戈先生接受了中央人民广播电台音乐之声的采访,在采访中多明戈表示,他确实将与宋祖英共同献唱奥运会的闭幕式,为此,他一直都在练习,而且,宋祖英是个非常棒的歌手,和她合作一点问题都没有。

　　多明戈曾在纽约主演过张艺谋导演的歌剧《秦始皇》,提起张艺谋,多明戈不吝赞赏之辞,他说:他非常崇拜张艺谋,和张艺谋合作简直太棒了,现在应该是他们在体育场合作的时候了。

　　此次来到中国,除了要参加奥运会的闭幕式外,多明戈还肩负着一项重要使命--与华彬集团成立亚洲青年艺术家培训中心,并受邀担任华彬紫金剧院以及培训中心的艺术顾问。多明戈表示,他一直都很欣赏中华文化的博大精深,此次合作将是其艺术生涯的全新尝试,他将竭尽全力当好这个角色。多明戈一直都在致力于发现与培养年轻一代歌剧人才的事业,他期盼中国年轻一代歌唱家能够走向世界舞台。
