    我很喜欢外语电影开头的旁白，平缓纯正的语音伴着和谐的画面，让人身临其境，若有所思。圣诞电影《恋爱假期》片头有一段凯特·温丝莱特用纯正英音娓娓道来的独白，讲述了世间的种种爱情，并以切身体验讲述了最最痛苦的单恋。前半段优美精致，后半段则字字血声声泪，十分贴近生活，不失为写作及语音模仿的上佳素材。现与大家分享：

　　I've found almost everything ever written about love to be true. Shakespeare said "Journeys end in lovers meeting." What an extraordinary thought. Personally, I have not experienced anything remotely close to that, but I am more than willing to believe Shakespeare had. I suppose I think about love more than anyone really should. I am constantly amazed by its sheer power to alter and define our lives. It was Shakespeare who also said "love is blind". Now that is something I know to be true. For some quite inexplicably, love fades; for others love is simply lost. But then of course love can also be found, even if just for the night.

　　我发觉世间描述爱情的种种都是千真万确的。莎士比亚说过：“漂泊止于恋人相遇。”真是神来之笔。虽说我个人不曾有过一丁点儿这样的体验，但我愿意相信这是莎士比亚的经验之谈。也许我对于爱情的探究比起常人要多得多。这足以改变我们生活、赋予我们生命全新意义的力量，常常使我觉得不可思议。同样是莎士比亚，还说过：“爱情是盲目的。”这一点上，我很清楚他说的没错。有的爱情与日消退；有的爱情待成追忆；而有的爱情只在蓦然回首间，纵然只是一夜缠绵。

　　And then, there's another kind of love: the cruelest kind. The one that almost kills its victims. Its called unrequited love. Of that I am an expert. Most love stories are about people who fall in love with each other. But what about the rest of us? What about our stories, those of us who fall in love alone? We are the victims of the one sided affair. We are the cursed of the loved ones. We are the unloved ones, the walking wounded. The handicapped without the advantage of a great parking space! Yes, you are looking at one such individual. And I have willingly loved that man for over three miserable years! The absolute worst years of my life! The worst Christmas', the worst Birthday's, New Years Eve's brought in by tears and valium. These years that I have been in love have been the darkest days of my life. All because I've been cursed by being in love with a man who does not and will not love me back. Oh god, just the sight of him! Heart pounding! Throat thickening! Absolutely can't swallow! All the usual symptoms.

　　生活在洛杉矶的Amanda（Cameron Diaz饰）是一位事业成功的职业女性，当她发现同居男友有外遇时，骄傲的她以两记重拳赶走了男友，内心却充满了愤怒与委屈；而在大洋彼岸的伦敦，美丽善良的专栏记者Iris（Kate Winslet饰）遭遇了“新郎要结婚，新娘不是我”的尴尬境遇。这两个素未谋面、却都有着伤心往事的女人在网上不期而遇，并决定利用圣诞假期互换住所，到对方的居住地度假，以排遣失恋带给她们的悲伤情绪。

　　尽管身处异地总让人感到些许的不适应，但新环境带来的新奇确实让两人精神一振。Amanda遇到了Iris迷人的哥哥Graham（Jude Law饰），两人之间很快便产生了强烈的化学反应；Iris则在邻居的介绍下结识了年轻有为的作曲家Miles（Jack Black饰）。感情，或许是这两个伤痕累累的女人千方百计想要逃避的东西，然而在另一个陌生的国度里，在这样一个温馨的节日里，又有谁能抵挡得住爱情的浪漫发生呢？
