　　加入美国籍的誓言是最长、最为具体和最具限定性。从内容前，反映出美国移民国家的特性。英文原文如下：

　　I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely

　　and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to anyforeign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which Ihave heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support anddefend the Constitution and laws of the United States of Americaagainst all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faithand allegiance
