英国一家火车站日前贴出禁止接吻的标识，以防止恋人们在依依惜别时过于忘情(而造成站台拥堵)。

　　A British train station has erected a no kissing sign to stop lovers going full steam ahead with their over-amorous farewells。

　　车站规定：如果你想“那个”，请去停车场。

　　Commuters have been told: if you want to get up to that kind of business, do it in the car park。

　　位于英格兰西北部沃灵顿的Bank Quay车站最近在落客区张贴了这个“禁吻”标识。沃灵顿位于利物浦和曼彻斯特之间。

　　The sign has gone up at thedrop-off point at Warrington Bank Quay stationin the town of Warrington, between Liverpool and Manchester in northwest England。

　　从标识上可以看到，头戴礼帽的男士和卷发女士正在亲吻，(中间划了一道红色的斜线)，以提醒人们请勿在此处接吻。

　　Aman in a hat and a woman with a curly-looking hair-do puckering up show people where they must not indulge in full-on lip-locking。

　　而车站还在另一个区域同时贴出了一个类似的标识，不过这个是表示允许接吻的。

　　A similar sign, this time permitting kissing, has been erected else where in a zone where smooching is considered tolerable。

　　Virgin铁路运营公司的一位发言人说：“我们并没有完全禁止接吻。”

　　"We have not banned kissing in the station," said a spokesman for operators Virgin Rail。

　　“但我们在落客区贴了禁吻标识，因为这块区域本来就不太大，来往车辆又很多，所以总是拥挤不堪。”

　　"Butwe have put the sign up at the drop-off point because it is not a very big area and it often gets busy with lots of traffic。

　　The busy station links the town with the major cities London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Manchester。

　　曾于1945年上映的电影《相见恨晚》讲述了在当时保守的英国，一对男女邂逅站台并衍生出一段婚外情的不朽爱情故事。在经整修并于去年开放的伦敦圣潘克勒斯车站，还修建了一个象征“站台爱情”的雕塑。

　　The1945 film "Brief Encounter" immortalized forbidden love on the platformin stiff-upper-lip Britain while railway romance has been encapsulatedin a statue at London's revamped St Pancras station, which opened last year。

　　而另一个车站则试图拯救“站台爱情”。

　　However, one station is trying to rescue love from the tracks。

　　伦敦西北部的海威科姆车站不但不禁止接吻，还积极鼓励人们享受爱情。

　　High Wycombe, northwest of London, is having none of it and is actively urging commuters to get frisky。

　　这家车站贴了一张粉色心形海报，海报上有一对卡通人物在拥吻，旁边的文字这样写道：“这里欢迎接吻！我们从没想过要禁吻。”

　　"Kissingis welcome here! ... we would never dream of banning kissing," says aposter of a cartoon couple embracing, framed by a pink heart。

　　奇尔顿铁路公司的克里斯汀-罗伯森称：“火车站是浪漫的地方。”

　　"Railway stations are romantic places," insisted Kirsteen Robertson from Chiltern Railways。
