11月12日晚，亚洲45个国家和地区的运动员代表乘坐花船沿珠江巡游，奏响了第16届亚运会“水上开幕式”的序曲。船队向着东方匀速前进，犹如一幅画卷在珠江上展开。45艘花船各具特色又相得益彰，正如亚洲各个国家和地区和平、友好、团结、共进，携手创造新的精彩和辉煌。

运动员“乘舟巡游”boat parade

　　In addition to traditional cultural performances, fireworks show, singing and dancing, the opening ceremony includes a boat parade on the Pearl River。

　　除了传统的文化演出、烟花表演和歌舞表演外，(亚运会)开幕式还包括珠江巡游环节。

　　上面的报道中，boat parade就是指“巡游”，在亚运会开幕式上特指运动员“乘舟巡游”珠江入场的环节。Parade这个词多指“列队行进、游行、检阅”等意思，比如：parade of all the competing nations(参赛各国列队入场)、National Day military parade(国庆阅兵)等。

　　本届亚运会开幕式期间共有45 艘boats adorned with LED lights(装有LED灯的游船)载着数千名运动员cruise along the Pearl River(巡游珠江)后进入开幕式现场。Boat parade(乘舟巡游)展现了charm of modern China(现代中国的魅力)和unique Lingnan culture(独特的岭南文化)。
