　　Model city就是“示范城”，model在这里的意思是“模范的，榜样的”，类似用法有model village(模范村)，model workers(劳模)，model wife(模范妻子)。“示范”也可以用其他表达方式，例如agriculture demonstration base(农业示范基地)。
