　　Kea parrot chick Nelson, who must surely be a contender for the ugliest bird in the world, was rejected by his parents after he hatched, the Daily Mail reported。

　　Nelson was born last month at Bergzoo in Germany. He was the only one of the three eggs laid by his mother to survive and hatch, but was promptly rejected by his parents。

　　The youngster is now being cared for around the clock by staff and spent the first four weeks of his life in an incubator。

　　Keas are large parrots native to the alpine regions of New Zealand. Adults are mostly olive-green with a brilliant orange flash under their wings。

　　一只名为尼尔森的小啄羊鹦鹉一出生就遭到父母遗弃，因为它丑的都可以参评“世界上最丑陋的鸟”了。

　　据英国《每日邮报》报道，尼尔森于上月在德国贝尔格动物园出生，它是母鹦鹉所产的三颗卵中唯一幸存并孵化成功的，没想到却立即被父母抛弃。

　　过去的四周里，这个小家伙一直住在保育箱里，受到工作人员24小时的照顾。

　　据悉，啄羊鹦鹉是生活在新西兰高山地区的大型鹦鹉。成年啄羊鹦鹉通常全身橄榄绿，翅膀底下却有一道亮亮的橘红。
