西非国家“埃博拉病毒”蔓延

　　截至7月23日，几内亚、利比里亚和塞拉利昂共计报告埃博拉病毒造成的累计病例数达1201例，其中672例死亡。

　　广州已采取预防措施阻止埃博拉病毒的传播，该病毒今年已在西非国家导致数百人丧生。

　　Ebola virus disease (埃博拉病毒，EVD)常见症状有：高烧、出血以及中枢神经系统损伤(central nervous system damage)，该病毒潜伏期(incubation period)为2到21天，致死率(fatality rate)高达90%，病毒通过接触患者的血液、分泌物或其他体液(bodily fluids)传播。

　　世卫组织认为，非洲的果蝠(fruit bats)可能是埃博拉病毒的天然宿主(natural host)。目前没有针对该病毒的疫苗(vaccine)或治愈办法(cure)。
