China’s kung fu superstar Jackie Chan is to serve as dean of his first college, the Film and Television Academy in Wuhan。

成龙乘私人飞机赴任院长：好友同行助阵(双语)

　　中国功夫之星成龙成立武汉影视传媒学院，担任首任院长。

　　According to Sina News, the Jackie Chan Film and Television Academy of the Wuhan Institute of Design and Sciences was officially launched on May 20.

　　据新浪新闻报道，武汉设计工程学院成龙影视传媒学院于5月20号揭幕。

　　Chan said he has finally completed his life-long dream of establishing his own school. The actor and director also said he hoped to use his own as well as his peers’ experiences in cinema and television to teach the next generation of actors and filmmakers。

　　成龙表示最终实现了毕生梦想，成立了自己的学院。该演员兼导员还表示希望自己以及其他同龄人在影视行业的经验，可以为下一代演员和制片人提供帮助。

　　Chan said he intended to purchase a land in Beijing for the same purpose a decade ago, but the plan was halted due to many reasons。

　　成龙说为了实现这个愿望，十年前本想在北京买块地，但是由于诸多原因，计划最终搁浅。

　　"Today, I am able to establish it through the assistance of people who do care," the action star said。

　　这位功夫明星表示：“今天，在一些友人的帮助下，我最终创建了自己的学院。”

　　Chan appointed his friends, including actor Zhang Guoli, actress Li Bingbing, director Feng Xiaogang and his wife and actress Xu Fan to act as visiting professors of his new school。

　　成龙邀请了一些朋友担任新学院的客座教师，其中包括演员张国立，演员李冰冰，冯小刚导演及其妻子徐帆。

　　He also expressed willingness to employ more professional film workers to teach students not only in classrooms but through hands-on experience on the set. Exchange programmes with foreign academies are also planned。

　　他还表示希望录用更多专业的电影工作者，不仅在课堂授课，还能够实地向学生传授实践经验。此外，成龙还计划与国外电影学院建立交换项目。

　　This is the first time Jackie Chan has taken on the role of dean, and also the first time he’s collaborated with a university on the Chinese mainland。

　　这是成龙首次担任院长，也是他与中国内陆大学进行的首次合作。

　　To date, the institute offers undergraduate programs in animation, performance and digital media。

　　迄今为止，该学院开设了动画、表演以及数字媒体相关的本科课程。

　　At the launch ceremony, Chan said foreign crews and directors were often employed to produce films. As someone who has cultivated the talents of his stunt people until they became martial arts directors and choreographers, Chan said he hopes to do the same with his students。

　　揭幕仪式上，成龙表示拍摄电影时，经常录用一些外国工作人员和导演。就像是培养特技演员的那些人一样，他们最终将学生培养成武术指导或者编舞。成龙表示自己也希望能够做到那样。
