与体育营销专家面对面: 西蒙•查德威克教授

  西蒙•查德威克是考文垂大学商学院的体育商业战略与市场营销教授。他拥有经济学学位,后来又取得了人事管理的职业证书,供职于一家酿酒公司。此后,西蒙回到大学校园继续学习,在伦敦大学获得教育学位,毕业后先是担任继续教育教师,然后成为大学讲师。在此期间,他先后获得了硕士和博士学位;他的博士学位是在利兹大学得到的,博士论文课题是足球球衣广告赞助权交易。在他的教书生涯中,西蒙曾两度在考文垂大学执教,还曾供职于利兹大学和伦敦大学。

  西蒙从事体育的相关研究和教学已经将近15年。尽管对足球情有独钟,但他也曾研究过多种其他体育项目,如网球、赛车、田径和自行车。此外,西蒙曾与一些世界上最大最知名的体育组织合作,如欧洲足联和国际网联。他的主要兴趣是体育营销、体育的商业开发和职业体育战略,也经常应邀就很多问题发表评论或讲话,其范围包括体育场迁址、球员转会市场、大型体育比赛的后续影响、体育竞赛的结构组织、体育的管理,以及体育的金融问题。他的研究成果已在包括中国、美国、巴西和德国的世界各国媒体上被引用三千多次。

  Simon Chadwick, Professor of SportBusiness Strategy and Marketing, Coventry University。

  Simon is Professor of Sport Business Strategy and Marketing at Coventry University Business School. He graduated witha degree in Economics before studying for a professional qualification whichled him to a career in Personnel Management, working for a brewing company.Simon then went back to university to study for a Post-Graduate Diploma inEducation at the University of London, graduating tofirstly become a Further Education lecturer and then a Higher Educationlecturer. During this time, he was awarded a Masters degree and then a PhD; hisPhD was awarded by the University of Leeds, the focus ofhis research being football shirt sponsorship deals. During his universitycareer, Simon has worked at Coventry University (twice), the Universityof Leeds, and London University。

  He has beenresearching and teaching sport for almost fifteen years. Although he has aparticular interest in football, he has nevertheless been involved in researchrelated to sports including tennis, motorsport, athletics and cycling.Moreover, Simon has worked with some of the biggest and best-known sportsorganisations in the world, such as UEFA and the International TennisFederation. His particular interests are sport marketing, the commercialdevelopment of sport, and strategy in professional sport, but Simon is oftenasked to comment widely, or present, on subjects ranging from stadiumrelocation and the football player transfer market, through to the legacy ofsporting mega-events, the structure of sporting competitions, governance insport and sport’s financial matters. As such, he has been quoted more thanthree thousand times in media across the world, including in places as diverseas China, the United States, Braziland Germany。
