　　1. all可用来表示所有可数的东西或人，可用作：

　　1)主语：

　　All of us are fond of sports. 我们所有的人都喜欢运动。

　　All are for going by boat. 所有的人都赞成坐船去。

　　2)宾语或介词宾语：

　　We welcome all of you. 我们欢迎你们所有的人。

　　Pardon me for all I have done to you. 原谅我对你所做的一切。

　　3)同位语：

　　They all agreed to stay. 他们都同意留下。

　　I know them all. 他们我全认识。

　　4)定语(这样用法有的字典标作形容词，有的字典标作限定词)：

　　All roads lead to Rome. (谚语)条条大路通

　　All children like toys. 所有的孩子都喜欢玩具。

　　2. all也用来谈不可数的东西，表示“一切”，“全”，可用作：

　　1)主语：

　　All is going well. 一切进行顺利。

　　Now all has changed. 现在一切都变了。

　　2)宾语：

　　I’ve said all I want to say. 想说的话我都说了。

　　Grasp all, lose all. (谚语)什么都抓，什么都抓不住。

　　3)表语：

　　That’s all. (要说的话)就这些。

　　Is that all? —That’s all. 就这么多？—就这么多。

　　4)定语(这样用时，有的字典标作形容词，有的字典标作限定词)：

　　All hope has gone. 一切希望都破灭了。

　　They talked all afternoon. 他们谈了整整一个下午。
