尊敬的各位老师、亲爱的同学们：大家上午好!
来自武汉枫叶教育初中校区时值金秋，荷花依然潋滟，枫叶又将泛红，这里诗意更浓。今天我们隆重集会，召开新学期开学典礼，这是一次迎新会，也是一次誓师会!在此，我谨代表学校向十二位新老师和近四百位新同学们表示热烈的欢迎！
老师们，刚刚过去的一学年，我们坚持“融贯中西”教育理念、“全面发展、特色鲜明”的办学定位、“一三二”办学模式，形成了“诗与远方”的校园主题文化，以出色的教育质量赢得了家长的充分肯定和社会的信任，无论是稳生还是招生都取得了前所未有的成绩，开创了逆势而上的良好局面！它凝聚了你们的心血和智慧！你们用爱作诗，托起了明天的太阳！老师们，你们辛苦了，我代表学校和家长感谢你们！
亲爱的同学们，教育的真正价值，在于唤起学生自我成长的觉醒，过去的学年，你们充分发挥各自的聪明才智，以诗为马，正在奔向无尽的远方，我们看到了你们一天天的成长，甚感欣慰，我代表全体枫叶教师祝贺你们！你们也完全有理由把最热烈的掌声送给自己。同学们，新学年开学之际，我向你们提出以下几点建议：
1、规划好自己的人生，做一个有梦想的枫叶人。
请确定你们的人生目标，首先就是规划好初中，并把这个规划分解到每个学期。然后在你们成长过程中，你的老师将会把你成长过程中的重要亮点上传到你的初中档案中，一个学期下来，你不但可以看到你是否梦想成真，还可以看到你的成长历程。这个成长记录将会永远跟随着你。希望你们用行动书写成长，留下你们精彩的成长风景。
2、知晓标准学会自律，做一个有修养的枫叶人。
我们为大家制作了一本《学生成长手册》，为同学们在学校的健康成长提供了规范和标准，希望你们认真阅读，并以此自律。本学期我们将对你们的三好习惯养成状况实行学分量化，这个学分不仅直观地反应你的成长状态，还是你升入我们枫叶高中的重要依据，希望你们要高度重视。
3、学会平衡合理安排，做一个全面发展的枫叶人。
枫叶教育坚持全面发展的办学定位，其课程种类繁多，你们要学会合理安排时间和精力，统筹兼顾，以免顾此失彼。
4、胸怀天下学好英语，做一个娴熟双语的枫叶人。
我们将英语提升到第二母语的层面，加大推进英语生活化力度，让英语真正成为我们交流的工具性语言。这样到高中才能适应加方课程的学习，到了大学才有精力选修第二外语。
5、修炼内功，做一个基础扎实的枫叶人。
素质教育并不是不要质量，不要分数，枫叶教育更注重质量，我们把这一学年确定为“质量年”，在养成教育上执行“三个一”，在学术质量上执行“三个清”，就是要确保教育教学质量，希望大家把优良习惯和品质的形成内化为个人的自觉行为，把学科学习作为学校生活的主要任务。提高成绩关键在课堂，我们只有四十五分钟，大家要珍惜，为顺利升入枫叶高中打下扎实基础。
6、迈好第一步，做一个守信守恒的枫叶人。
新的学年，新的愿景，关键在于我们能否信守承诺能否坚持。开学初班主任以及任课老师都会与大家一起学习《手册》，你们也会向大家作出承诺，你们一定不要忘记自己的誓言。守本分，学本事，诚信是一个人的道德底线，守住了这个底线，就一定大有作为。开学前，近四百新生参加了军训，效果非常好：讲文明、懂礼貌、敬规划，关键在于坚持守恒。老生更要为新生表率，温习当年军训科目，如有需要我们可以邀请教官帮助你们复习。
“一年好景君须记，正是橙黄橘绿时”。老师们、同学们，一个新的学期就是一个新的开始，一个新的学期就是一个新的希望。让我们手牵手，振奋精神，砺志进取，尊重生命、发展生命、成就生命，在枫叶这片成长的沃土上，追求我们的梦想，共赴美好的远方!

Strive for a Better Future with Excellent Quality
Dear teachers and students, good morning!
Beautiful Tangxun Lake, glittering lotus, and red maple leaves are full of poetic flavour. Today we get together here to hold the opening ceremony of the new semester. This is a ceremony to welcome newcomers; it is also an Oath-taking rally. Here, on behalf of school, I express a warm welcome to the 12 new Chinese and international teachers and 400 new students.
Teachers, over the past year, We insisted on the education concept of "Combine the best of west and east, developed the campus cultural theme on “Education for a better future”, won the trust from parents and society. We have made great achievement on no matter student stability or recruitment. All these can not do without your effort. I express gratitude to you on behalf of school and parents.
Facing to the tense and challenging work, our teachers and students should standing on the new starting line take a hard look at yourselves. Throw ourselves into the work and learning in the new semester with full enthusiasm to achieve our goal.
At the beginning of the new term, I put forward the following hopes and requirements to all the students:
Plan your life, and be a dream-seeker in Maple Leaf
The recent planning is your middle school planning in each semester. Your teacher will put your good performance in your file of Middle School. After a semester, you can see whether your dreams come true, also can see your growth process.
Know the standard and self-discipline, and be a cultured maple leafer.
This semester we will make credits for your three good habits situation, the credits are not only the response to your growth state, but also it will influence whether you can enter maple leaf High School. I hope you will attach great importance to it.
Learn to balance the reasonable arrangement, and be comprehensive developed Maple Leafer
You need to learn how to reasonably arrange time and energy for the variety of courses, keep balance of the study time in every subject.
Make up your mind to learn English well, and be a proficient bilingual Maple Leafer
This semester, we will promote English to the mother tongue spoken level. Make great efforts to promote English into daily life, and make English become a communicative tool for us. In this way we can adapt to the Canadian course in High School, and have energy to take a second foreign language in university.
Study firmly for the basic knowledge, and be a solid Maple Leafer
Quality education is not ignoring quality and score, and maple leaf education pays more attention to quality. We name this school year a quality year. I hope everyone can develop excellent habits and characteristics consciously. I hope you put study as the main task of school life; the key to improve your grade is your performance in the classroom. We only have 45 minutes, you should cherish.
Have a good first step, and be an honest maple leafer
The new school year, new vision, the key lies in whether we can promise and insist. Be a dutiful man, and learn skills. The good faith is a person's moral bottom line, hold the line, you will go a long way. Nearly four hundred new students took part in military training, the effect was very good. The key is to insist on conservation. The old students should revise the military training course that year, we can invite instructor to help you if necessary.
Let's go hand in hand, respect life, develop and achieve our life. Grow up in Maple Leaf and pursuit our dreams to a wonderful future!
