　　1. fore-：before 前、预先

　　forecast v. & n. 预测；预示

　　E.g. Such events may forecast an outbreak of war.

　　这些事件可能预示着战争的爆发。

　　foretell v. 预言；预告

　　E.g. We can‘t foretell how the world will end.

　　我们不能预言世界将如何终结。

　　foreground n. 前景

　　E.g. The figure in the foreground is the artist‘s mother.

　　图画前景中的人是画家的母亲。

　　foresee vt. 预见；预知

　　E.g. It is difficult to foresee the consequences that may arise from this action.

　　预见这一行动可能产生的后果是困难的。

　　2. pre-：before 之前

　　prehistory n. 史前

　　E.g. In the long period, the researches of prehistory are abundant.

　　prerequisite n. 先决条件；

　　3. pro-：预先的

　　prologue n. 序言，序幕；

　　E.g. The prologue of the book is a famous writer.

　　prophet n. 先知，预言家

　　4. post-：after 之后

　　postwar n. 战后
