2019硕士研究生考试英语二 Text2深度解析

　　2019年考研英语二的传统阅读部分在文章的选取和题目的设置方面，与去年相比难度略低，总体来说比较简单。下面笔者对其中的第二篇进行深度解析。

　　此句主干部分是：The climate change could leave us，we are hastening 是修饰先行词change的定语从句，that emit more carbon than they absorb是forests的定语，还原后为forests emit more carbon than they absorb，即“森林释放出的碳会比他们吸收的更多”，该句通过比较结构回答了题目的第一题，即forests may become a potential threat。“森林可能会变成潜在威胁”。

　　2。第二段的长难句亦是第二题的答案出处：Helping forests flourish as valuable “carbon sinks” long into the future may require reducing their capacity to absorb carbon now。（帮助森林繁茂，从而长久地作为有价值的“碳汇”，可能需要降低森林目前吸收碳的能力。）

　　该句的主干部分是：Helping forests flourish may require reducing their capacity。 其中的as valuable “carbon sinks”是forests的同位语，long into the future是该句的时间状语，to absorb carbon是不定式作capacity的定语，对应第二题的正确选项Lower their present carbon-absorbing capacity“降低森林目前碳吸收的能力”。

　　3。 That’s only a small share of the total acreage that could benefit， about half a million acres in all， so it will be vital to prioritize areas at greatest risk of fire or drought。（这只是可能受益的总面积的一小部分，总计约50万英亩，因此优先考虑最容易发生火灾或干旱的地区是至关重要的。）
