One Year is Enough to Make It Better

　　Hi all, my name is Zhang, Ping Qiang. I come from Hebei province; have been Canada for three years. I am a third year accounting undergraduate student who transferred from George Brown College (GBC) in Toronto.

　　As I said, I studied in GBC in Toronto. I created CSSA of GBC, also was the first president. So I did have the opportunities to practise my communication skills with school managers, international students, Chinese immigrates, sponsors etc. Also, there are chances to build relationship with other Chinese communities, such as, Canada Oriental Academy, Canada Foreign Education Development Association, Canada Eastern Development Co. Ltd. etc. I do believe that the one-year president life is very powerful advantage for CSSA & all Chinese.

　　Once I was voted as president, I will concentrate on developing the following aspects.

　　lFUNDATIONI will improve several basic services of CSSA, so it will become more helpful, professional & organizational. These foundations are mainly information systems, such as website and newsletter, which are supplying basic information about school, program etc. I will try to organize a newspaper of us. All these services will be free for all Chinese.

　　lORIENTATIONI did experience several brand new students, they do not know where to get people pick up them, they do not know where they can get a place, they do not know how they can process their brand new life in Windsor…We all have this kind of experience, we all know it is hard for freshman. So, I will make some effects to help those who are new for U of W.

　　lREACATIONI am about to pay more attention on students who are in masters, doctors, scholars, and Chinese professors; especially undergraduates, because they are young, and need more helps. Building multi-bridges between all Chinese people. Definitely there will be many activities for students to get known, make friends, and party together, such as dancing party, travelling, sports games, picnics etc. Mainly, I will concentrate on Mid-Autumn Festival & Spring Festival.

　　lPUBILIC RELATIONSHIPAs we know, there are thousands of Chinese in Windsor, they all doing different things here, this is such a big Chinese society. I am going to get connected with them, get support from them, make us stronger; at the meantime, our graduate students may get a job offer from one of them. I believe that we will make CSSA a leader Chinese community in Windsor. Also, connecting with the other societies will be on schedule. We will contact with some insurance companies, driving school to get better deal for us. Linking with them will get more respects from Canadian society.

　　I believe that all these changes we can make in one year. After one year, CSSA will become much more famous, valuable, recognized; because it provides you much more things you expected.
