¡¡¡¡Boss:As you all know, John is being transferred to our head office in California to fill the position of Sr. Software Engineer. He has been with us for 5 years, and has steadily gone up the ladder at our company. I¡¯m proud to have known him, and I¡¯m sure you all join me in wishing John success in his new post. Here¡¯s to you, John!

¡¡¡¡John:Thanks, everyone. I¡¯ve really enjoyed working here and I¡¯m glad to have made so many friends. I¡¯ll miss you all, and I hope we can keep in touch.

¡¡¡¡Ben:Congratulations, John! I¡¯m very happy for you.

¡¡¡¡Judy:Me too!

¡¡¡¡Tom:I¡¯m sorry to see you go. You¡¯ve been a great asset to our department. Things won¡¯t be the same without you.John:Oh, I¡¯m sure you¡¯ll get along just fine, but thanks all the same.

¡¡¡¡Carl:We¡¯re happy you got this promotion, John. You¡¯re the right man for the job. I¡¯m glad we¡¯ll still be together.

¡¡¡¡Helen:That¡¯s right! You¡¯re going back at the same time, aren¡¯t you?Carl:Yeah! He can¡¯t get rid of me that easily.

¡¡¡¡John:What¡¯s a man supposed to do? Break a leg? Who said this career move is a step in the right direction? Just kidding, Carl. I think it¡¯s great that we¡¯ll still be working side by side.
