　　Well,I should say it is amazing that I let music come into my life.Now,I bet I could not last a day without it.It is almost three years ago when I first really began to get interested in music.That time,I was just a Freshman in my college.Everything was so brand new to me.I got confused and frustrated as well as inspired.I really did not know what to do to deal with this new life.But just at that time,music came into my life.It was like a shinning star that brightened even my darkest nights.I could not tell how its magical effects worked on me.But it was true that whenever a song started,I could feel my every heartbeat going with the rhythm,my emotion going high and low with the vivid tune.Finally,when a song ended,I truly felt a whole new me had taken over.Well,it is music that let me experienced such a wonderful course.It is really a great fortune for me.Yes,it is.

　　Day by day,music became more and more a friend of mine.It is the very best friend I've ever had.It is always waiting there for me.Winter,spring,summer or fall,whenever I felt down,the only thing I would do is to press the PLAY button on the tape-recorder.All of a sudden,music would cast all my fears aside and fill me with pure energy.Here I want to share with you one of my best memories of music.It is a sad one,but also an encouraging one.Three years ago,my mother died of a heart attack.In those days after she left me,I felt the sky was nearly tumbling down.I felt this calamity was so big that I couldn't carry on and find a way out.However,just at that time,I was so fortunate and honored to have received a song called Hero.It is performed by an American singer called Mariah Carey.Her talent,her singing skill and unique voice made this song so moving.Every word of it got down into my heart so deeply.None of my friends' comforting words could take the place of its melody.Here I want to share some of the lyrics with you:It is a long road,when you face the world alone.No one reaches out a hand for you to hold.You can find love,if you search within yourself.And the emptiness you felt will disappear.And then a hero comes along,with the strength to carry on,and you cast your fears aside,and you know you can survive.So when you feel like hope is gone,look inside you and be strong.And you finally see the truth,that a hero lies in you.Yes,it is true.The world is so big and I am so small.To live well is not an easy thing.However,you don't have to be afraid of what you are.Just be brave enough to face your life.Well,it is hard to believe that I am here speaking words I never thought I would say.I should say it is all because of music.It gave me the courage to seek faith and hold on to it.

　　Music has been around me in my college time till now.I have a most wonderful memory of how music supported me through weakness and strengh.I will treasure it with the rest of my life,because I know not everyone has an experience of music as I do.However,I have to say that I am not a consistent lover of music.Sometimes,I may complain that I spend too much time listening to music.Maybe I should spend more time on my textbooks.I even regretted for what I did.But thank goodness I saw through all of them at last.I could not deny how much I benefit from music.I've learned from it how to tell right from wrong,how to discover truth and beauty,and how to view this world with my eyes and heart fully opened.

　　It is true that no one can be brave all of his life.It is true that we may sometimes show the evil side to others because of the fears blinding our eyes.It is true that from the bottom of our hearts,we all expect to love and be loved.Then open your heart to music,and let it free your heart,nurture your mind,regulate your emotion,and save your soul!
