　　CMU is a comprehensive, doctoral intensive research institution offering degrees at the bachelor’s through doctoral levels. More than 200 different academic programs are available. In 2008 CMU programs ranked among the best of the nation by U.S. News and World Report included audiology, physician assistant, speech language/pathology and clinical psychology. CMU currently enrolls total of nearly 20,000 students, of whom more than 500 come from outside of the United States. Students who meet all undergraduate admission requirements except for English language proficiency are eligible for a Bridge Program of Intensive English study。
