　　The University of Milano—Bicocca was instituted on June 10, 1998 on what used to be the Pirelli industrial neighbourhood. New buildings have replaced the old factories and the modern urban campus hosts over 31,000 students, 930 professors, 700 staff members. On an academic level, our University boasts eight Faculties - Economics, Education, Law, Sciences, Medicine, Psychology, Sociology, and Statistics - which organize all the teaching activity on campus. Academic programmes 2009/2010 include 71 courses, ranging over the different scientific fields and humanities: 35 undergraduate programmes, 32 postgraduate programmes, 3 single-cycle degree courses , 1 four-year graduate programme, and a wide range of 1st and 2nd level Master courses. Also, 21 Departments organize a considerable amount of scientific research: the University of Milano - Bicocca is partner to countless projects worldwide and can offer its students experimental theses, internships in corporations, scholarships, doctorates, research grants, and international research exchange facilities. Courses are generally taught in Italian, whereas some teachings are offered in English。
