| Founded in 1869, the University of Otago was New Zealand’s first university and is also the top-ranked university in New Zealand for research quality (PBRF Quality Evaluation, 2006). Otago has a total enrolment of 20,000 students with 1200+ PhD students. Otago offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across the areas of the humanities, health science, business and science. The University’s main campus is located in Dunedin with further campuses focusing on medicine and health science in Christchurch and Wellington.
